On September 18, 2007, computer science professor Randy Pausch stepped in front of an audience of 400 people at Carnegie Mellon University to deliver a last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” With slides of his CT scans beaming out to the audience, Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months. On the stage that day, Randy was youthful, energetic, handsome, often cheerfully, darkly funny. He seemed invincible. But this was a brief moment, as he himself acknowledged.

Randy’s lecture has become a phenomenon, celebrating the dreams we all strive to make realities. And now, in his book based on the now-famous lecture, Randy goes even deeper to inspire us all.

Randy Pausch教授,號稱是尤達大師+科克艦長+金凱瑞合體的一位老師,
39歲結婚,老婆也是系上的教授,目前有三個小孩.
47歲被診斷出癌症,醫生說他還有三到六個月的Good health.
所以他在卡內基梅隆學院舉行了著名的"最後一堂課"演講.
之後,他利用每天運動騎腳踏車的時間,透過跟作家的電話聯繫完成了"最後一堂課"這本書.
該書將在4/8上市,4/9ABC電視台將播出他的專訪.
我跟同學推這本的時候...有同學說他有上歐普拉?!*(哇我找到連結了,他連伏地挺身都reprise了!)
雖然已經過了醫生預估的六個月...前幾天看他的blog,他的肝臟又多了一顆腫瘤.
我希望他的健康可以繼續維持下去.

Randy這樣的生命鬥士,他的書一定要推的啦!!聽說會有中文版.
上星期工作因為主要是fix網站上的連結,所以都是開著他的其他線上演講來聽
他的"時間管理"演講也很精采!但是我恨ABCNewsQWQ他的預告讓我在辦公室邊工作邊眼睛冒汗...

我因為用Amazon的免費寄送所以現在才收到.
這本書大致就是他的演講們(包含時間管理)的補完,加上犯規的內心戲
雖然照片幾乎都是網路上或者PPT裡看過的.

不過我必須坦承到最後幾章我的眼睛還是流汗了OTZ...
